Default Might be saying Bye Bye!

Its come down to it and im not happy with the tC which is why i might be going to the dark side, HONDA! Well actually Acura. My tC sounds more and more cheaper every day. Im soo tired of it even if the dealer can fix it. I currently own around $14k for the tC and dont want to be paying on something im not happy with. The paints chipping off, rattles like a can of beans and the interior sucks big time! Im looking into getting an 05-06 Acura RSX-S with under 25k miles around Nov-Dec? I have enough time to save save save and sell some things on the tC if needed when it comes down to it. I plan on putting a $3k downpayment so i can start back around where im at now. I called my insurance and they said it will be and ballpark range of $1/month more than what i pay now which is awsome ($125/month). I babied the tC from day one and still do, but i want to keep a car for a good while and dont want to be paying forever. Ive already started saving for a house and plan on getting it right after i pay off my car. Ill still be around for a couple of months before the tC is gone. Nothing is final YET but i have made up my mind and HOPE to get a type-s soon! Im trying to find one stock cause i dont plan on doing much to her anyways. Lip kit, wheels and suspension will be key for me! Hey, maybe something might change my mind and i have to stay with the tC (hope not).

*Dont ask about parts (dibbs, inquiries or price). I wont respond nor sell anything yet!*

if your not happy with it then why buy it?

it just seems like everyone who drives a VTEC YO! thinks that they are too cool for this universe, hopefully you wont fill that stereotype...

can of beans and the interior sucks? man, why did you buy the tc in the first place if you have so many gripes with it?

well, to each their own, i love my tc, i drive it hard and have put 44k miles on it and it is only getting stronger. sure it has a few rattles, but i'm usually listening to music and have been conditioned by my dad's 95 corvette which has way more rattles than a tc would ever have.

and seriously, i'm sure there are plenty of kids that are complaining about their rsx's because trust me, people have complaints about anything they own.

if i were you, i'd go for something much more different, like a wrx, or a tacoma x-runner, that would be alot more fun. the rsx, meh a tc with vtec, 40 more hp and a 6th gear. yeah, they are all nice things to have in the tc minus vtec, but thing about it, you aren't making a very big leap.

and i would think that the rsx engine, making only good hp at peak would be so annoying to have to rev so high all the time

well, the only way to find out is to go test drive one. but honestly, you just gotta consider what is and isn't acceptible in a car. i mean, i remember one kid who was considering selling it because he couldn't stand the throttle delay.

i'd still have my big, slow, clumsy 1995 ford explorer if it would stop having so many expensive random mechanical failures. because it looked good, had 4wd, leather and power everything, plus a bangin sound system, but when you've spent 6 thousand dollars in 3 months only to have it the low beam short out and cost $500 dollars to rewire, it was just time for it to go. if it wasn't at the garage next to my college campus, i couldn't remember where i parked it since i was so used to always picking it up from the shop every week.

so i mean, look at it this way, your gripes with the tc is, you don't like the interior, it has some rattles, and your paint is chiping. well, there are alot of items out there for dressing up the interior, rattles are something you'll find in alot of cars, and as for the paint, oh well, paint chips, it is a daily occurance, either from rockchips in the interstate, or idiots in parking lots. you can always get it repainted, body kit so on.

buying a used car is always a gamble, car fax means nothing, my car has been in two incidents, and it have never shown up on car fax. buying a used car is like buying somebody's problems. and people don't buy rsx type s to baby them, they buy them to drive hard and fast and rev high.

so your considering trading in your tc that you have had since new, for a car that has been through 25 thousand miles of you don't know what. it is a risk and while i am not telling you this to discourage, i just want you to be aware.

But as said ^^^ its a gamble buying slight used with these type of cars coz often owners drive them real hard... RWD, AWD like WRX would be my choice if ever I let go but still owners prolly abused it already.. Goodluck with your decision

if its a "performance" or sports car, and your buying it used, you can't expect it to be in great shape when you get it, it will have been driven hard unless owned by some old lady, RSX type s, wrx, evo, srt4 all are guaranteed to have been driven hard before being traded in, you want something thats not been driven hard?

get a kia, it'll make the tc look like a luxury car
