+1 on the DSMs, having owned one myself. Crankwalk is a M**F**er.... and it happens in stock vehicles.

If you want drag, you want a V8 and at least a 9-bolt rear end. Although it's a really bad comparison, 1 psi on a V8 will net you MUCH MUCH more power than 1psi on a I4. When you have double the displacement, you flow double the amount of air.

 

even find a late 80's Isuzu Pup, and drop some serious motor in there.

i saw a 502 in a 88 Monte Carlo T-top. that look and sounded like lots of fun to drive :-P IF it hooked up at all.
