Oh they will go 19-0, no doubt about that one. The Giants barely managed to beat the Packers, and the Packers were playing like garbage the whole game. I think we're going to have another one sided Super Bowl, just like what happened a few years back...anyone else remember the Giants/Ravens Super Bowl?

they should, i thought there was no way the pack would lose to the giants but apprently they don't get the meaning of HOMEFIELD advantage.

burress ran wild. but i really thnk eli will get clobbered by the Pats. which is exactly what i want to see (i'm from San Diego--so if you remember when they had the no.1 pick you know why). at first i was pulling for the giants, but then i thought about that and was like "F eli!!!!"

hmm i think you guys are forgetting the fact that the NYG came in and played in -3 (or whatever) weather AT the packers when the packs had a HOMEFIELD advantage and they were NO doubt the underdog in the game and they STILL won. SUUURE they won in OT by a field goal SUUURE it was a close score. But none of that really matters. A win is a win is a win is a win. As far as I'm concerned, the NYG are the ONLY team that has a chance at beating the Pats (obviously- they are going to the super bowl).

And the guy saying the packers played like crap? The next time you play football in negative degrees weather, let me know how you do. Then maybe you can talk.

I don't really care for the Giants OR the Packs- I'm for anyone who will beat the Pats.

I agree with the fact of the Giants being the underdogs, but both teams played fairly well considering the weather conditions... i mean crap, it was -20 with a wind chill!! NEGATIVE TWENTY! and some players were still sleeveless.....

so you really think the giants are a better team than the cowboys and GB???? Burress won that game for them, no one could cover him. and no the giants aren't the only team that can beat the pats. shoot if sd had any type of offense when it counted, sd might've won that game. and i think with a healthy squad they would beat the giants. i think the pats are going to SHUT crybaby eli down. he's not ready, they're going to do him just like they did big ben in his first afc champ game. the fact that they beat the pack was based off of the pack not bringing their "a" game. period, they don't have more talent player for player. yeah bradshaw and burress are on point but the rest of the offense doesn't match up. they (giants) played hard and made it, period. but watching them throughout the season, they def. got luck neither the pack or the cowboys didn't fully show up. i'm not saying they don't deserve to be there, as they played hard, but they are going to get STUMPED DOWN.

could have, should have, would have...who really knows. all we REALLY know is the giants beat the packers and are now going to the super bowl. the giants, maybe they did get lucky, but never the less- they ARE going to the super bowl. do i think the giants will blow the pats away? no. do i reeeally think for sure they will beat the pats? ehhh, maybe but it's a little unlikely. am i gonna put money on the giants? hell no. Do i think the pats will probably most likely win? yes, i do. but there is still a chance they won't. you never know who is going to get hurt or play bad. I MYSELF am i cowboys fan and i think they should have been in the game against the packers. but they played bad. so be it. whose to say the patriots won't play one bad game?

plus, like i said before, i really just don't want the pats to win. i'm keeping every hope i can that they will lose.

no freaking crap. i saw the games, i know the outcomes and i gave the giants their props for playin hard. i'm just using what i thought about the games, that's it. if i recall correctly i said "SD mighthave beat the pats. can we analyst here; whether it be the past or future, we've got twelve before another football game--if not i'll go through football withdrawals and i'm anxious to see eli catch a beat down. not to mention nba doesn't really catch my attention until post all-star game (not to say it's boring now it just can't compete with football for me). not to mention i'm in miami, and the heat lost to the knicks , glad i'm not a heat fan.

history shows that they haven't played one bad game in the SB. that's not everything, but highly doubt the giants will pull that out. pending the spread i'd bet against the pats. [/i]

You do remember who the Chi Town Bears played (and smoked) in 1985 do you? Or who your lover boy Brett Favre shredded in '97? The New England Patriots! They're 3-2 record in the big game is less than stellar. Albeit a different era and ancient history to some, but isn't history what New England is all about this year? Its this coutnry's biggest sport yet people forget so quickly. You may have been a little young for those but, hey so was I.

edit- And about the Patriots...

If their undefeated season has taught Tom Coughlin ANYTHING on how to get the upset here its these things...

1.) Against NE you are playing MADDEN ball. Thats right, the video game. The whole season they've proved that conventional football wisdom DOESN'T WORK. Kicking a field goal? Great, they'll score seven for every one of your three's. Punting the ball? Great, you won't have another offensive snap for eight minutes. And you'll be down seven more points when you do. Throwing the kitchen sink includes: taking almost every 4th down shot, going for two, onside kicks, and simply put, playing like you don't even have a FG kicker.

2.) 4th quarter execution: In all of NE's 'almost' losses this year against the Eagles, Ravens, and Giants, they've been on the ropes. Down but not out, util the 4th quarter. Whenever the time comes to play the last 15 minutes of the game, somehow, someway, their opponent fails to move the ball in the last few minutes. How many times to you expect to PUNT the ball back to Tom Brady in the 4TH QUARTER, and expect to dodge bullets?

3.) Lasty, the Field Goal kicker. This is tied into #1 but its so important it deserves its own category. The minute San Diego picked off Tom Brady in the AFC Championship game, drove down INSIDE THE 10, and failed to score a TD, I texted my buddy and said it was over. Done. Signed, sealed and delivered. In fact they did that two more times to further seal their fate. Trading in TD's for FG's is a cardinal sin for any football squad but doing it just once against the Patriots and you can begin to chisel your tombstone. The Chargers put points on the board 4 different times, the Patriots, 3 different times. The difference? San Diego was shut out of the end zone the whole game. Ditch the kicker, you have fourth down for a reason. Go for it because FG's aren't going to take down Goliath.

everything you said really means nothing.

stats mean nothing. records mean nothing. every single one of these guys are playing pro football for one reason- because they are good enough to be there. i don't care how many completions brady has had or how many points they score per game. SURE that gives them THAT much more of a chance, but stats don't determine a game.

like i said, they could have 1 bad game. you never know how someone is gonna play that day.

PERFECT example, look at how college football turned out this year. underdogs have just as good a chance of winning as anyone else. it's all about how you play THAT day.

that was TOTALLY different team, therefore my age has nothing to deal with it. and history can tell a lot, actually. not dating back 10+ years, but immediate history says enough for me to bet on the pats straight up against the giants. those 3 wins have come in the last what 6-7 years, same QB, same coach. brady isn't a great QB. he's good, he usually makes good decisions. your point makes for a great term paper but not the point i'm going for.

and b.favre my "loverboy"....wtf w/e. do i like him, yeah. he has a great passion for the game and for winning, sucks that usually the passion and want to win clouds his judgement, but no doubt he's one of the league's greatest.

Then what's the point. That NE is great and has a great chance to win?

Wait, let me call the Herald, they might want to know about this...
