I have a similar story. At the dealer I work at we had a 07 GMC Acadia towed if for a no crank no start condition. The vehicle had 26k mile on it and we come to find out that they NEVER changed the oil. The original oil filter from the factory was still on and when we tore the block apart it looked just like that.

 

no ma'am thats not covered under warrenty your sol now fork over the $7500 dollars for the oil change

I see this all of the time! The VQ35 Nissan engines are notorious for this, especially those where customers just don't change the oil! What get's me are the customers that say, "I always change my oil!" Yeah right, who are you kidding?...
