Assassinated? No...it wouldn't happen. They'd have to be extremely discreet. Couldn't happen the same way Lincoln and JFK's went down. There would be an uproar if Ron Paul was taken out like that.

I was raised Catholic, but I don't follow their teachings any longer. I feel that religion is a control and works hand in hand with our government to keep us down. One thing I did learn from a wise priest was that it was my job to question religion, so I feel it is my job as an American to question my government. It's supposed to be for the people, by the people, so if the people don't ask the questions to keep the government honest we get what we are in now.

I was just about to ask if you had seen Zeitgeist. I have Zeitgeist on DVD and I just ordered America: Freedom to Fascism from one of Amazon's sellers for less than $10 brand new.

Wow…you guys are so un-American. Don’t you know our government is our friend and would never do anything to hurt us? Either you support the government, or you support the terrorists.

Bunch of commies….shut up and shop - America™ is depending on you!

I started out liking Obama. now the more i hear out of him, the more i realize he may be a racist. Sorry Obama, you got my vote in the primary but you are not getting it in the general.

I wasnt raised Catholic, but I was baptized in a Catholic Church. i am getting married and my fiance wants a traditional Catholic wedding.....I agreed to it only because I find the actual ceremony beautiful, but I do not believe in the faith of the church and its teachings nor will I ever. The sad thing is that I used to believe before i met her. When we decided to get married, i decided the research it. It only makes sense right? if Im gonna get married into something then i should understand it right? Well, now after researching for almost a year..it almost ended our relationship. Sometimes, I wish I wasnt given the gift to think for myself.....it would make life much more easier to just follow the flock.....

<- Apathetic Agnostic.

"I don't know, and I don't care." That's my basic outlook on religion.

Are we mixing religion with polictics?

I believe in the "big bang" and a God. What that God is though, i havent found yet.

Believing God (a spirit) created everything to me is too far fetched, but i respect those that disagree with me.

Problem is, too many questions lay in religion and too many different relgions all believing they are correct and everyone else is wrong. If anything relgion divides people.

Religion is more controlling than any government could ever be. The thing I find sad is, is that Christians, Catholics, Muslims, etc., can laugh at the faces of Scientologists for what they believe, but then don't realize how outrageous the background of their religion is either. If Christianity had started in the 50's, it would be the biggest joke ever. Anyway, wrong thread for this.

i dont think the country is ready for a black or a women president. not that they couldnt do the job but because of people like esemrfo.

i think if it was between those two alone, hilary would win simply because of bill and because shes white. does that sound racist? yes, but if you look at the general publics mindset, its the truth.

honestly i dont really care for any of them. We need someone definitely to get us out of the b.s war, but its more than that. we need someone with backbone BUT also someone that considers all options before jumping in head first in a pool of sharks. We need someone that will be as honest as possible to the public and someone that realizes the economy needs help and seriously attempt to fix it for the long run, not the short term crap we are used to.

while it would be a significant challenge, it can be done and needs to be done.

everyone yells about american pride, but theres very little to be proud about if your an american citizen right now.

and for the love of life shut up about freedom, im so sick of hearing about it. yes, theres freedom in america and has been for years, get over it and move on.

oh and how about putting other countries problems on the backburner and look at the problems we face in the states. fix what we need to right now and look at helping others in the future. i cant stand that about this country we are always in everyone elses business BUT our own.
