Question For Seattledave
i'd bet in life form on different planets myself. it could be simple bacteria, or single celled organisms.
There are billions of planets in all different distances from their stars, i'm sure some planet has to be of a decent temperature and hold at least a little atmosphere.

Bacteria on other planets, absolutely. In space, quite possibly. More extensive multicellular organisms. Also possible but I'll believe the little green men story when I see 'em or indisputable evidence for them. Most videos of supposed aliens I don't buy.
Ooo.. Field Museum has a new exhibit on dinosaurs. "Dinosaurs: ancient fossils, new discoveries: Never before seen fossils mixed with cutting-edge animation reveal the evolutionary link from dinosaurs to modern-day birds. This fascinating exhibition will shatter your previous notions about how your favorite prehistoric creatures lived, fought, and bred, and how they became extinct."

but i do think there is actually more advanced organisms than just cells out there, and because humanity has evolved so rapidly in just the last 500 years, any species with just a 1,000 year jump on us is probably in space. I'd say there is a good chance another lifeform has a billion+ year jump on us in terms of technology.
make me wonder if other planets are as diverse as we are in our natural elements, so that they had the same playing field as we do when it comes to starship building.
believe me, im a sci-fi nerd, i have subscribed to popular science for over 15 years.
Krusty, you told me the reason there can't be life out there from a biblical standpoint is because the bible does not mention it, so the obvious follow up question is whether or not other things the bible does not mention actually exist.
question to krusty:
do you think what the bible says in revelation is written in stone? Do you thin it's possible god could send another son or jesus again down to earth from time to time, to just live life as a human, for no reason but for fun?

I mean, do you think between the end of the the bible's time frame before revelations, and the end of the world, that more "christian" things could happen between now and then that aren't in the bible?
Like, could your God send down his only daughter "sophia" tomorrow to play poker in a tournament, and then die of a heart attack, and still stay within your belief system, or "christian cannon"?
I remember sitting in sunday sermons week after week, and the preacher would do the same thing each time, read a little form the bible, tell people they need to find god, then pass out a golden plate for money. When will preachers move past that?
Let's say, "ok, i'm a christian do-gooder with all i could ever want, and ever since
having my ********* removed, which killed my sexdrive and need to lust, i volunteer every second i have to helping out mankind until i die". What sermon is for him? Where's christianity 201 for people that don't need help finding god anymore, and having memorized the bible.
It just seems odd, christians love to make a big deal out of "we're the only religion with a living deity", but it seems like the religion itself is dead, or "on pause" at least.

Ok... Sorry but this is the first time that I have heard someone try to tell me dinosaurs and man lived together. The first thing that comes to mind is the question (I can't believe I am even playing along) why are there no longer dinosaurs? See if christiananswers.net has an answer for that.
