Ever hear of the Dead Sea Scrolls? Did the evil catholic church find those in the dark ages, and change those? Oh, they didn't know about those did they?

Everything on life originated as primordial goo. Everything on earth came from the same goo. Some goo evolved into bacteria. Some goo evolved into Animals with circulatory systems. Some goo stayed goo. Some goo evolved into Trees.

I'm the one making a stretch? Please, Evolution is the biggest stretch ever.

One method being used to measure the age of fossils is called radiocarbon dating. This dating system measures the rate of decay of radioactive carbon from the point of death of the organism. “Once an organism dies, it no longer absorbs new carbon dioxide from its environment, and the proportion of the isotope falls off over time as it undergoes radioactive decay,” states Science and Technology Illustrated.
However, there are severe problems with the system. First, when the fossil is considered to be about 50,000 years old, its level of radioactivity has fallen so low that it can be detected only with great difficulty. Second, even in more recent specimens, this level has fallen so low that it is still extremely difficult to measure accurately. Third, scientists can measure the present-day rate of radioactive carbon formation but have no way of measuring carbon concentrations in the distant past.

So whether they use the radiocarbon method for dating fossils or other methods, such as employing radioactive potassium, uranium, or thorium, for dating rocks, scientists are unable to establish the original levels of those elements through ages of time. Thus, professor of metallurgy Melvin A. Cook observes: “One may only guess these concentrations [of radioactive materials], and the age results thus obtained can be no better than this guess.” That would especially be so when we consider that the Flood of Noah’s day over 4,300 years ago brought enormous changes in the atmosphere and on earth.

Radioactive Dating has serious problems, and I dont see how a scientist, could look at something, guess how old it is, and then call that guess a fact.[/quote]

While the radioactive dating method is innovative, it is still based on speculation and assumption. In contrast, the Bible account in the first chapter of Genesis simply states the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,” to prepare the earth for human habitation.

Some dinosaurs (and pterosaurs) may indeed have been created in the fifth era listed in Genesis, when the Bible says that God made “flying creatures” and “great sea monsters.” Perhaps other types of dinosaurs were created in the sixth epoch. The vast array of dinosaurs with their huge appetites would have been appropriate considering the abundant vegetation that evidently existed in their time.—Genesis 1:20-24.

When the dinosaurs had fulfilled their purpose, God ended their life. But the Bible is silent on how he did that or when. We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by Jehovah for a purpose, even if we do not fully understand that purpose at this time. They were no mistake, no product of evolution. That they suddenly appear in the fossil record unconnected to any fossil ancestors, and also disappear without leaving connecting fossil links, is evidence against the view that such animals gradually evolved over millions of years of time. Thus, the fossil record does not support the evolution theory. Instead, it harmonizes with the Bible’s view of creative acts of God.

Citizen01 is a smart guy, I take offence to that. Dave usually replies first, maybe thats just a coincidence.

wow, seems like you're one of the few christians acknowledging the days of creation and dinosaurs. ok, you did skip around a bit, but I'd like to ask you a couple yes/no'ers...
on day 4, animals such as pigeons & sperm whales were created, yes or no(according to the bible i mean)?
on day 5, animals such as cochroaches & stegosaurus were created, yes or no?

if you knew the bible, as it seem like you do, you would have said yes to both.
So under what theory or plausible scenario of "1 day as a thousand+ years" could animals like giraffes or elephants or sheep live next to raptor dinosaurs without becoming extinct? BTW, have you seen all the various skeleton's of earth and water creatures we've uncovered in the last 100 years? Why would something like a 6foot raptor die out, but not an ostrich, if both lived in the same place, in the same time? think about it. today's mammals and the hundreds of badass dinosaurs we've uncovered don't mix. yet they're from the same exact place, and supposed same exact time.

I dont know who everything happened, with the completly different kind of land animals living in the same time period, maybe he created the raptors/other badass dinosaurs, first, then saw that they wouldnt be able to live with the other animals and killed em off.

Is that stretch, probably.

Once again, Creationist who dont know all the answers as to how creation fully happened = retarded, evolutionist who dont know how evolution fully happened = genius.

With answers like that, I'd guess you were running for office.

Can you please help me out, so i understand the bible, i'm dumb...

to have things like pigeons, sparrows, sperm whales living before and created before land dinosaurs and most insects is shattering to all forms of logic that I know.

I've never heard anyone else actually say dinosaurs came after the little birds that we have today, have you? I know the bible says it happened this way, but before we start even looking at the facts, does that make sense to you?

Why do we have the sense of Taste? Why would we evolve a sense of taste?
To tell the difference between bitter (poison) and sweet (not poison). Also, to be attracted to salt, our body likes and needs salt to fire nerve receptors and many other functions, and there's only one thing on this planet that tastes like salt: salt. One of the reasons it is thought that women have nearly 3 or 4 times the taste buds then men is because women were the predominate cooks. Which came first? The cooking or the ability to differentiate the poisoness mushrooms from the tastey and nutritional ones? I don't know, you figure it out.

What about smell? Do we need to be able to smell different things?
Absolutely. 100k years ago we didn't exactly bathe on a regular, and our nostrils weren't contaminated with exhaust, paper mills, and other niceties of modern life. The idea that we relied upon our sense of smell to catch a wiff of game or to locate our families isn't exactly that far off. Also, we can learn by smell which fruits are good, and which aren't. We can tell when the meat is rank, and when it isn't. Smell is important, or we wouldn't have it.

How could one cell, slowly evolve into everything from a ant to blue whales to Emperor Penguins to Elephants?
Think of all the specialized and general cells in your body. Bone cells, muscle cells, heart tissue, the brain, everything started out life as a stem cell. So why not?

Why do we dream? What purpose does that serve?
Contrary to popular belief, space is not the final frontier, it is the brain. We know practically nothing about the brain, and that is still infinitely more than we knew 50 years ago.

Why is there so many different variations of life on earth?
There are a lot of systems. One creature's dung is another creature's food/shelter.

Why do we see in Color?
To see the difference between a poisoness snake/frog and a non-poisoness one. Bright yellow/red means "Stop!" or "Caution!". Or better yet, to find blondes for fun, red heads for lots of fun, and a nice cranky brunette to settle down with.

To go along with this, they say that is the reason why we have pubic hair. It collects our scent (pheromones) better and make us more attractive. Need a nose to sniff out the pubic hair smell, you know! lol

Good thing that Evolution can pick and choose what abilities you get. I want the ability to breathe underwater. How can I evolve my body to grow gills, and be able to breathe underwater?

Im sorry but for evolution to just say, hey if I mutate a billion times over thousands of years, it can make my life better, is just insane! Maybe I can randomly change my DNA to smell better, or to taste better, or to grow more hair, or have a bigger unit.

Scientists once carbon-dated a LIVE animal, and it tested to be 10,000 years old......so much for accuracy there...lol (I can find the details if you want on this)

About time we agree on something xdorkx!

On a side note, I carbon dated the calculator on my desk at work, and I discovered that it is from the early Jurassic period. Its around 195 million years old. I carbon dated a Hot Dog from 7-11, and it was from the same time period (that I believe).

Oof. I go to sleep and miss two pages of stuff... Answering one at a time. Sit tight kids. Again, more people not listening... Pay attention in science class kids and you will understand evolution properly and realize it is NOT that complicated to understand and it is NOT that hard to see life arising.

Shouldn't Roaches of evolved from the thousands of years that they have been getting stomped by humans? Shouldn't they be developing larger, stronger exoskeletons? What about ants? Shouldn't they be growing bigger, better?
