after the interview when/if they ask you if you have any questions, say yes but just one. then say "when do i start"
no lie, it works it shows you really want the job and that you can close a deal.
(dead serious say it)

i interview with people daily, and as long as they are prepared and confident in themselves, it shows through. granted i only do hiring for IT positions, but with a sales position, you need to be extroverted and comfortable talking. always overdress since image is the first impression. and do think of relevant questions to ask, try to engage the interviewer instead of just answering questions. anyways good luck.

yea, try to get him to have a slightly offbeat convo that you guys could both share a laugh about. This shows great character, and thats exactly the type of people that they are looking for to fill that sales position. Dress for success; shirt and tie/slacks/dress shoes are pretty much the universal dress code for dealerships. Unless they provide you with polo shirts with the dealers name on them, but you wont hafta worry about that until you are hired so dress nicely for the interview. Definitely do a dry run if you arent completely familiar with where the dealership is so you can make sure you get there 15 mins before the interview starts. Speak with the secretary so that she can inform the manager that is doing the interview that you are there, and just walk around the showroom looking at the cars they have on the floor. Bring up one of the cars from the floor during the interview that sticks out in your mind and try to impress them with the things you like most/know about the vehicle(again, falls into product knowledge before you go into the interview). Just be confident and you should do fine. Whatever you do, try not to interrupt the person interviewing you. Most managers are a little egotistical and they hate stuff like that
Good luck Tony, let us know how it works out for you

Thanks for all the info guys!!
But there is a problem, the interview is being held in the lobby of a Marriott, not the dealership! hahaha
but i think ill be fine. Usually do well in interviews, not the nervous dont know what to say type.
