I can't believe that I finally wandered into this thread.
I've had tendencies since I was like 10.
When I'm drinking I'd much rather climb a lady than a guy.
However I've been the tomboy and blended in more with males most of my life, even when I'm being girly I'm still brash. I do not really ever in my life think that I can maintain a relationship with a female because women are evil. I should know! ;)
Females gossip alot, and withhold all these things until they decide it's time to let it all out and be the biggest backstabbing things. They are loud in a group and start doing that laughing crowd fit that sounds like a coup of chickens.

I've had mixed feelings on the subject for years.

I never expect to be tolerated but anyone anyway. I'm a serious fence-rider over everything because there's nothing that I feel that passionately about to have to defend myself to anyone.

? and suddenly the reason I posted this was because someone else just posted about imposing views... now they deleted the post just before I clicked submit?

Ahh, Placebo!
He has a great habit of saying very little about a lot he does not know about

Maria! If you're coming to Miami can we meet someplace for lunch?
A box lunch is not on my mind. We'll talk about Placebo, in his very
definite absence.

(kidding, the sugar pill is invited of course)

I will pay for you, of course. I know that funds are short at this time in your young life. If you need transport, I'd be driving right by your home on the way up to Ft. Lauderdale, which is -where I expect we'll be meeting up- cos Maria is prolly gonna hotel up there.

That's exactly right. The Bible is God's word, and as such, it is the final authority for the Christian faith. I'd be very afraid of a church or religion that didn't view the Bible that way.

Here again, if you use the Bible as your final authority, it's very clear that God has set standars of right and wrong. Without it, it would be up to society to detrmine right and wrong. And GOD help us if that ever happens.
Why is it that if someone disagrees with, or is against homosexuality, they are being "intolerant" or a "homophobic", but you can make statements like that about the Christian faith and God's teachings, and it's okay? Seems like a double standard Reid. Seems like you want everyone to not only accept you, but also to believe what you practice is normal. Yet you turn right around and imply that the Bible and Christianity are only in exsistance to "assure the success of some parochial program/ agenda". Have you heard me mention the homosexual agenda? Exaclty who is being intolerant here?

^I think you make a good point.^
I like Reid okay though. He has never said anything negative towards me even though I told him that I do not agree with his lifestyle. In my mind I do what I feel is right and he does so in his. Do I agree with his lifestyle? No. Do I still love him as my brother in Christ and pray for him? You bet I do! That's what I believe is right.

matt and Vanillia, are we related?
I too find it very odd that if someone wants to promote any belief they have it is fine as long as it is NOT in any way a Christian belief.
I respect all the views given here. It makes no matter to me if you are straight or not, respect me as I respect you. I find it hard enuff to live my life the way I should, I sure don't have time to try to change someone else's to the way I would like to see. It is not my place to say what is right or wrong. I can just offer my hand in friendship and brotherhood.
Besides, my oldest daughter has a friend she went to school with that we all knew was ___ before he admitted it. I still accept him as almost one of the family, I just leave the room when he wants to have a "Girls night out" with my wife and kids.....

Like my dad always said, what happens after the campfire goes out is between a cowboy and his horse...

That's funny!
Like I said, I don't dislike Sci, I just don't agree with his ways but I think it's great that we can get online and have this chat without any ___ bashing and Christian bashing. I think it will open some peoples eyes. I know that in the past few years I have become more "accepting" of the homosexual lifestyle than I was in the past.
