we all have em, lets share em...

something like trying to ghost rid the whip in sandals
or trying to make a u-turn in a grassy center median ripping the front end off your car...

Jacking up the front of a car, and to get more height I stacked 3 pieces of 2X4 on the jack pad. Worked fine going up, but put a huge dent in the oil pan when the wood got "squeezed" out on the way down and caused the jack to hit the bottom of the engine.

The top two that come to mind are:
Trying to launch snowballs off a shovel handle by jumping on it.
I think I was 12 when I pulled that one, I got a hell of a shiner.

More recently, I tried skiing down a hill onto a frozen lake, with one ski and no bindings. I made it down the hill, but then I found out the lake wasn't as frozen as I thought...

Taking the wife's car for a ride late one night to see if I could find a squeak....How was I to know that there had been a robbery in a business in that same parking lot I was driving suspiously thru....

Do they have to put the cuffs on that tight?

Hope you didn't have a gun in the car. That wouldn't look good.

Yeah... In my gf's (when we still lived with our respective parents) room when we had no idea when her dad would be home... Couldn't look him in the eye for a few months...

Bad timing stories are something we can all relate to......

Last year (one week from this weekend will be a year ago).. last year I crashed my car, lied to my husband, got drunk, lied more.. finally broke down and told him, had a mental breakdown (btw he was in Mississippi at the time).. and it sounded good at the time to drink after crashing my car. Not such a good idea at the time. Caused lots of troulbe, including with my parents cause he called and asked if they would come get me since I was drunk. Oh well. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

2 winters ago, right after a big snow storm, I was walking down the street with some friends trying to get to the sledding spot. I was flirting with some chick that was with us and I kept kicking at the sled she was pulling behind her...didn't notice that I was about to walk right on top of a sheet of ice. At least I got something to remember her by...7 screws and a titanium plate in my ankle

Back when I was young and lived in cali I thought it would be a great idea to play with fire with the dry brush by my fence and if any of you are familiar with the the central valley (Fresno/Clovis area) you know how much dry grass and brush there is in the summer. The result was an uncontrollable fire, a 911 call, a burnt up fence, and a nice whoopin'.

Well theres a spot on a local road that leads over a bridge. It goes under a train track then shoots up to the bridge. When it rains heavy water sits there. This particular day it rained real hard for a few min, and it was deep, probably about 8 or 9 inches...I saw a 18 wheeler go through it and i knew it was deep.

Anyway normaly normal people would slow down and go slow..not me, I punched it, i hit the water and whoooooooosh, the water shot up as expected it was loud too. So I get home and the left lower lip from my rear bumper was hanging...

back in my wilder days I was on a convoy to a BBQ with my Lancer team. we got stuck on the freeway in the middle of nowhere in what appeared to be construction...

I got really bored and started autocorssing the cones that had been set up to take the freeway from 3 down to one lane. I wasnt very good at autocrossing then either and knoced over a bunch,

Then I realized it wasnt contruction. It was a massive accident involving several cars and an RV

19 seperate charges later including wreckless driving, I somehow didnt go to jail and it cost me a buttload in lawyers fees, the better part of two years of my life on and off and a whole lot of days off work to get out of 98% of it.

there isnt enough bandwith for all the "bad timing" stories i have...

but the time going to court for being "parked" in a car in a park... and bumping into my ex gfs mother in the court room and having the charge read aloud by the balif(sp?) while giggling... was a blush kinda momment.

Wanted to start a little fire in my driveway... so i thought "ill just grab some lighter fluid and there ya go!". well, after a pack of matches it wasnt working (btw i filled up a whole bowl!) i went and got some gas in the garage. the resulting flame was abouting 20+ft high. lucky the tree about 3 ft away didnt catch on fire, but the driveway had flames on it. me being the ever so smart kid decided to stop out the flames. i then had a flaming shoe! well... that didnt go great but i didnt get hurt!

on a related note, we had a party after one of our school plays... and it was late so we grabbed a bunch of sticks, wrapped them in cloth, smothered them in gas and then ran around w/ em lit..... in a forest. no problems there either!

and worse yet... i was like 6 and my friend was walking on the frozen steam in front of our house. i followed him and we walked about half a mile on barley frozen water all the way across a pond as well to the other side. that was close!
