I was looking at that more closely-I would bet that it is hiding something. Note the twin exhausts and tha fact that the rear axle is wide (not the rear wheels)-it might be a v8 engine and drivetrain conversion or something

Hey, regardless of how silly the version of KITT looked on the previous page, the auction closed at $53,000!!!

 

Yeah I dunno what sap shelled out the $$ for that but I hope he's REALLY rich and just wants a collectible for his garage. That would seem the only logical reason to pay that much.

I dunno who paid 55K for that knock-off KITT but he should be slapped and the guy that made needs to shot at dawn.

looks like a stick on hood, has that uneven edge going around it, BUT, ill take your word its a special hood, he dosnt have a updated pic of his car on his profile, so, ya,
