hmm.... i would say it is pretty close to the reeves's version of how he portrayed superman. the actor that plays him does resemble reeves a bit in my opinion..
they tried to keep it old school i can tell... very impressed.
and umm.. there's a nice little twist in the plot.. but i won't spoil that for ya
gosh.. i wish the movie didn't end. i'm guessing sequel.

the 3D was in play for various scenes, not the whole movie. they would flash a green pair of glasses at the bottom of the screen when you were to put them on and then it was pretty spectacular, then a red pair would flash to tell you to take them off (that was pretty much unnecessary because if you had them on when it switched back to digital you knew it pretty quickly).
most of the movie was digital imax at huge screen size (kind of the hdtv of movie projection); huge screen meaning turn your head instead of shift your eyes to see the whole scene.
the movie itself? i want my 29 bucks and 4 hours back. i don't mean the waiting an hour and a half in line in the sun and the two hour plus movie, i mean the movie itself felt like 4 hours between the credits rolling and closing. i am a superman fan and it had its moments (brando) but my god, forget a good director, i'd have given my eye teeth for an editor.
imo, cg carrying a movie was over with the dinosaurs of the early 90s. i also don't want a super hero soap opera.
sorry, but it seems that folk seem reluctant to say this thing is the "waterworld" of superhero movies. wow, that was not my version of a superman movie. i'm in the minority, i know.
hype.
spiderman III trailer (sam raimi)
quite frankly, i think that seeing this movie in 3d imax took away from the experience. i expected more than the film really offered. i'm gonna give it another chance in a "regular" theater.
