I just got the "Practical Advice: What You Need To Know About The H1N1 Virus" email from HR here at work. Here's a slice:

In adults, emergency warning signs that need urgent medical attention include:
*Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
*Pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen
*Sudden dizziness
*Confusion
*Severe or persistent vomiting

Hell - I'm 49......that describes how I feel EVERY day, after a few hours at the Brew & Chew! How the hell am I supposed to know if I have this damn disease?????

When people talk about swine flu, i think about bacon... and they always talk about washing your hands so you dont get it. next time you use a public bathroom, take a look at the blow drier thing...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That kid licking the pig is tooooo funny. And also no one named the correct movie!!!!!!! It's Zoolander!!!!!! Can I have my bacon now? And also you guys shouldn't exactly be so apathetic. Swine flu (just like Spanish Flu - the one that killed 30 mil in 191 seems to kill young people. Cytokine Storms (google it) suck. Having a healthy immune system is a BAD thing. But everyone is right. It really isn't spreading like the media makes it seem. The only thing is that if it is TRULY swine flu, humans will have no natural immunity hence the CDC's worry. Anyways. Rant over. I guess if I get it ... I''m SOL. HAHAHAHA. Then I'll have a REAL reason to call into work, lol.

Not in the mood to read 5 pages about this, but did was it already said that back in the 70s there was the same crap as right now? They released a vaccine for it and it ended up killing more people than the actual swine flu did. Yes, I know the story behind vaccines having the potential to actually make you sick with what it's to protect you from.

Honestly. This is a bunch of BS on how the media is reacting.

Also, while I do feel for the family that lost their kid in Texas (they were visiting FROM Mexico), I don't care. Why? Survival of the fittest. If your genes and or immune system suck enough that you contract a potentially deadly disease, then you should let it run its course instead of popping pills.

i think this is just something to get our minds off the economy.

everytime something bad happens, the gov'ment does something to make everyone forget how bad it is, by making something not bad at all seem like its the end of the world.

when I was looking up the maps of where the outbreak is... I thought that was the cause actually...

with everything in the news, and internet, it seems like subliminal advertising for a new resident evil movie.
