So I started my new schedule here at work. I'm now starting work at 530 in the morning.

Anyone else start their day this early? How did you adapt to it or are you just a morning person?

 

When I had a job I was at work by 5am and No I am not a morning person. I did it for 9 years, it was still tough every morning but, I shure did like getting off shift at 2pm.

 

Yes it is too early and hint, dont give RJ your IM name otherwise he will talk your ear off the second you sign on LOL COFFEEEE

 

Its not me anymore I don't have a new job yet. Joey took over on that shift.

 

I'm usually here between 5:30 and 6:30. I worked 2 summers for ADOT in construction inspection, then 6 years after that. I got used to it and it really screws me up if I have to go in late for some reason.

 

Yep I start the 5.00am to 3.00pm shift next week and it's hard as hell getting up 3.30am and going to bed by 8.00-8.30pm. The sun's still up when I'll be hitting the sack The only plus side to it is I'll miss a lot of traffic.

And there were 5 of us...so before anyone could think I took the one in the middle, hoping to be to work before traffic on the 101 and heading home at 230 before it gets bad.

and 4.45 and 5.30 would of killed me.

I think I know how both you (RJ & Joey) feel...I'm in a call center on a headset talking to people on the east coast first thing in the morning...about computers. Yuck.

Oh well at least Fri and Sat I can stay out and finally start going to meets :-)

 

I tried covering graves for two weeks at Commspeed....for 3 days I was golden...then on the third day, I just couldnt sleep, but had to. I was dying by 3a when I was supposed to be awake and taking calls. Sleeping while there's daylight out isnt for everyone

 

11pm to 7am.... Thats when the drunk hotties come in and then the drunk boyfreinds right behind them

Construction : On the Road 15 Min before the Sunrise till when ever! In the summer time that means out and about by 5:00am. In the winter I sleep in. 6:00 am.

 

Kick the drunk boyfriends ___'s then take the drunk Hotties.... oh wait Shannon wouldn't like it if you did that huh??

 

Go to bed early and only drink coffee in the morning. Most people who have to get up really early make the mistake of staying up too late. Plan for 7 hours of sleep and you'll be fine. I get up at 4:45 every weekday morning to do 30 minutes of cardio before getting ready for work. I make sure it's lights out for me by 9:30 every night.

cant seem to find it. but remember reading somewhere about how people are less productive that early in the morning. I think they studied highschools nationwide and the schools that started early had overall worse grades than schools that started later. The public highschools around here start picking up kids from the bus stop at around 5-5:30am. Yeah they get out between 12-2, but ouch thats early. Luckily i dodged that and went to private school.....9am woooo

I'm no morning person and I always work best in the afternoon (just like now! )

 

going from 1am to 10 am sleep pattern to the next day between 10 and 11 pm to 650am sucks to have such a quick change

i am a morning person just as long as i get enough sleep in me

 

My schedule is all over tha map, for the most part it is 7 am to 7 pm

 

I miss my 8a-7p Sat-Sun-Mon and Thurs with no traffic to work and home, but the new job has a better future. Anyhow its 10 and past my 'bed time' for waking up tomorrow. Night all
