I was really impressed how they stayed so true to the cartoon. I was hoping it would be half the movie it actually was.

I didnt catch that at first, they brought back the dude who did Optimus Prime's voice. So cool.

 

Im going to have to go see this movie again...maybe on my lunch break sometime next week.....We had to sit in the very front three rows last night and looked up at the screen so some of the fight scenes were really blurry and I could hardly make out WTH was going on.

 

"Don't step on the carpet! My grandmother doesn't like anyone on her carpet! Especially police!"

 

"Oh sh*t it's the police!"
"I didnt do nothin, i didnt do nuthin" *crashes through window*

 

Yea that guys in a whole bunch of action movies playing the comic relief,

and wooo, they had ddr in the movie. I love that game and used to play it all the time. I was surprised to see dance dance revolution in the movie.


hoefully Ill get to watch the movie again next week. I cant wait or this film to arrive on hd dvd or blu ray. Gotta watch it in HD, its a pure eye candy spectacle.

 

I saw it on the 4th with scinergy, scion 101 and scion corp (free movie) and it was timed perfectly so that we were out just in time for the 4th of July fireworks!

Fun night, fun people, explosions in the theater and outside of the theater... who could ask for anything more?

I read some comments posted about Bumble Bee.
I actually liked that they changed his car type. I mean really, how tough does a VW beetle look. I like that they changed him to the camaro (which is oh how sweet looking)

I wish Megatron was a little different. He was a jet in themovie. He still should have been some kind of gun, but self operational. I dont like how in the cartoon another decepticon had to pick him up and shoot him, I mean he's the leader of the decepticons, he shouldnt need somones help to function as a gun. I think thats why they made him into a jet.

Star scream was pretty good IMO. A sequal would not be as good IMO. Star scream as the leader would suck.

The fight scenes were pretty awsome.

I liked optimus prime. He looked pretty close to the original.

well.. VW was really the issue why Bumblebee couldn't be a Beetle.. they didn't give the producer rights to use the car..

so a nice change was made..

as far as Megatron, they needed something more realistic.. thus a puny little gun transforming into a massive sized robot was out of the question..

(thus a slight other reason why Bumblebee was changed.. that VW Beetle would've had to transform into a relatively small robot compared to the others...)
it was explained that he kept his Cybertron alien jet form, which is what he turned into.

and as seen.. Starscream is still a pansy... very good keeping his persona from the original series.

only thing is.. Devastator... a tank? wait a sec... Devastator was the name of robot that was formed when all the Constructions were put together.. Bonecrusher being one of them..

 

I think they made Megatron more into a outer space jet like the forms the transformers would be straight from Cybertron. And in the fight with Optimus, he does transform into a huge gun, where his upper torso is the gun, I think Optimus jumped out of the way or something.

 

Yup...Starscream will return and so will Megatron as Galvatron....If they keep it true to the series....Only time will tell

 

So much marketing behind it, it was really smartly done.

 

There really was.....I havent been this excited about a movie Since....Ninja Turtles...Released in 90

That made me sad.

But what was weird was when Optimus was making the speech about Jazz's sacrifice while holding each half all dangling

 

lol yeah that was kinda awkward... BUT what was sad, well for me, was when the Sector 7 douches captured Bumblebee.

 

Oh yeah, that was sad too, but they made up for it when he schooled the S7 dudes shrinking the all-spark

 

LOL.. i like the part more when Bumblebee schooled Mikaela when he scanned the new Camero.

(though i did kinda like the older one better.. (could use a good paint job.. but i think that's outside of the "scanning" ability))
