Honestly... I couldn't tell ya... I drank a lot of coffee in the mornings and then diet coke and what have you from noon until I went to bed. So I've never actually figured out how much caffeine in mg or anything...
I used to tear through 5 or 6 cups of coffee if I went to a diner or something.
It definitely didn't affect me as far as staying awake or shakes or anything like that, but I literally needed it to function.

[but I do have a good capuccino once in a while]

That was rough! Seriously, I thought I was dying for a couple days. Day one was fine, but day two killed me.
I felt like I was in a complete haze, I couldn't concentrate and I was exhausted. After 5 days of having a splitting headache, I had a cup of coffee.
The headache went away, but it hit me so hard, I was super skittish. So now it's Friday and I haven't had any caffeine since Sunday... so far, so good.
(I'll also point out that alongside caffeine, I also cut out Coke and what have you (which was my biggest source of caffeine))
Eff... withdrawal kinda blows.

Do NOT have a pack lying around. I tried the same thing and it does not work....your mind will trick your body into "needing" a smoke. Agan, just my experience. If you must go that route (which you REALLY should not), you must buy a pack, pull one out and THROW THE PACK AWAY. This will break you of the pack-buying habit.

Only a "serious" smoker ( almost a pack a day) for about 4 years. Why did I quit.....I cant really say. No health problems at the time, not a financial thing either. I actually quit just to see if I could.

Really? Hmmm people really have different methods. I have 2 unopened packs in my bedroom (been there since november) and one open in the car. I'll follow your advice and throw the half empty one from the car.

I don't remember if you mentioned this in the other page but did you sucessfully quit the first time?
i recently quit (or attempted to) ive been smoking for off and on for 12 years, (yes since i was 12 years old
) went from 2 packs a day to 1 pack a day for about 4 years.. and now recently i tried to cut it off completely.. (just way to hard).. so i limited it down to 2 cigarrettes a day..
just too many things in my life that keep it around.. two of my roommates smoke, im always stressed, and it always relaxed me..
the reason i decided to quit, i feel like living longer rather shorter.. i figured i was always gonna die fairly young and kinda accepted it, but certain people in my life makes me wanna a live a little longer just to have them around.. also i calculated on average how much money id be saving.. (nearly $1,900 a year).. ive already noticed the savings.. which gives me more money to mod my car..

I would go so far as to say I wasn’t breathing properly, but it did have a negative effect on my cardio. I was out of breathe earlier then in previous years, my times peaked and then started to drop. I knew something was not right, even though at the time I blamed everything BUT ciggs. But I was just in denial. In the morning upon waking, I had the typical "smokers hack", but it wasn’t more noticeable when lying down.
Im not a doctor so I have no comment about your inhaled medication.
No, I think I quit 4 or 5 times before I stuck to it - ironically, the last time I quit I never said I was going to quit. Since then (hmm....about 9 years now) I have smoked EXACTLY 10 whole ciggs and I can recall what I was doing every time I had one. I think a lot of that has to do with the guilt I felt after smoking. But I didn’t beat myself up over it. I just started (quitting that is) again the next day.
I accept that I am not perfect. I will fail at times in life, but you pick yourself up and move forward.
