Run the patch. Ny friend is running 7000 with a patch and its fine. I just had a cd key so I don't need to run the patch

My friend gave it to me kol. And I think vista beta 1 keys work as well

Only if you have a 64 bit processor

 

Biggest Pro I know of is that with 64bit you can run a hell of alot more ram than with 32bit. And I think 64bit allows you to take better advantage of the latest high end processors, that I'm not as sure of as with the memory.


So what comes with the new 7? Is it just a stripped down refresh of Vista? Did they give you back the option to limit system restore instead of it just automatically eating up mass amounts of HD space for no reason? Only thing I really like about my Vista HP is the Media Center and I'm very leary about buying a copy for my home theater pc build I'm doing just for that feature, instead of just using my xp disk for it.

 

well.. i have a 3gig core 2 duo processor(s?) with 4 gig rams.
yes it dows support 64 bit.. im just worried about the programs.. which will run which one not.

 

That's what I hate from going from all these major OS changes. Microsoft can't keep windows, well windows. It's always a gamble with what will and will not work.

 

so when does this come out??were did ya get the beta?im running a bootleg of xp pro sp1 only because i wanted to reformat my hard drive and my key code did not work so me and my buddy put a bootleg on it now i can not run itunes or other programs because i need service pack 2 or higher,,,so hence want to buy vista but 7 would be the way to go..thanks for anyhelp..

yeah i just seen that with the link should have read a bit more lol..i just do not know how to burn a iso file ..ill just save it on my comp and see if my my buddy can burn and help me install it..unless any one has some easy advice.

 

i'm just gonna use a virtual pc to try it out. you can boot from an iso file to install it that way.
