I started with a D40 and the lenses that came with it, but now I have the D90 with the 18-105mm VR and the Nikon 80-400mm VR. I am still trying to figure this whole photography thing out. I really want to try a cannon for a while to find out for myself ( which is better ) I have seen so many outstanding shots from both.

taking good shots is not the camera, but what the user can do with it.

WooHoo! I wasn’t 100% sure either.

I was just there a few months ago when I was traveling through southeast Europe… Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Hercegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Turkey and Romania.

Montenegro is an incredible country! I dig on the lesser known countries myself.

Ziveli!

i was messing with the XSi at BB a little while ago. its pretty fast compared to my D40. i like that it has more AF points. a little more features to mess with than my D40 and i like the 3" LCD. not crazy about the live view, i think i might make the purchase once i sell the D80 body and some golf clubs i have on eBay right now. hopefully order it by next week from BHPhoto. If i dont like it, i can always return it. BB will charge a 15% restocking fee, so forget that. BHPhoto says no charge as long as its under 200 on the shutter.

I was told that entry nikons were better than canons but high level cameras, canons are better.

Supposedly nikon is a lot more user friendly than canons.

one thing I know, canon and nikon lenses turn opposite ways :D

not really, what are the benifits of the 30D over the XSi?

over all quality of the camera and parts that make it up, cant do a direct comparison, but I do know that the 30d is still used for serious work and professionals while the xsi isnt.

both are about the same price I think?
