not really, what are the benifits of the 30D over the XSi?
over all quality of the camera and parts that make it up, cant do a direct comparison, but I do know that the 30d is still used for serious work and professionals while the xsi isnt.

both are about the same price I think?
by no means am i any professional, its more of a hobby. i pretty much shoot anything?
please dont get me wrong, im not a pro either, I shoot pics for fun too. I just hang around with people in the field and see what they use. This is what I shoot with.

I use a 50d

I was just saying since the 30d costs almost the same as the xsi, you might wanna take advantage of a higher quality camera, both use the same lenses. and if you decide to go more serious in the future the 30d is more than capable for the task.

Im actually going to pick up a 5d markii as a second camera and the 50d will be the back up camera when Im out shooting. but that wont be for a while.

So I opted against buying a lens and just using the extra money to pay off some credit cards lol. I still bought a new backpack (LowePro CompuDaypack) and I'm going to pick up some filters, spare battery and a SB-400 flash unit. My flight for Paris leaves tomorrow night and I get into Paris in the morning and don't leave until that night so I have a good 4-5 hours to roam the city. If I have the chance, I'll post up some pictures when I get back into the airport, if not I'll just do it when I get to my hotel in Mauritius. I'm definitely going to abuse the hell out of my camera while I'm not working.

Other than the filters, flash and battery, does anyone have any suggestions on any other accessories to pick up?

Taken with the 55-200. I learned that it's hard to work with in low-light situations.

They are great dogs, but a HANDFUL!... Even though they "know" what they're supposed to do, and not supposed to do... They do whatever they want anyways... I tell this to everyone wanting to get a Husky - They are not a good first time dog for people... So many Huskies get abandoned and left to shelters for dead because the people that got them did not do their homework on Huskies... If you pay attention to them they will be your best friend, and they LOVE to run around - space is very important... I’ve owned dogs all my life, all sorts of breeds too – and Huskies by far are the most stubborn that I’ve dealt with, this is why so many people give them away
