there is a spot near titlow beach. great lil park and everything with a great view of the bridge. just go across the tracks toward night time and you shouldnt have an issue.

 

 

lightsphere is too big and heavy for me, though Ive heard its great for weddings. Its like guarantee good flash pic with no thinking if you're using a lightsphere,

right now I just use a stofen, however I almost never use it like you're supposed to, I rarely have it at 45 degrees, I spin my flash everywhere and bounce it all over the place. Only reason I use the stofen is that it throws a small amount of light forward to light up the the eye sockets, while everything else is bounced depending on what direction I want the main light to come from.

Ive heard good things about the demb flip it. However I think Im gonna end up just getting a portable softbox and use the stofen for outdoor fill if I want a harsher light.

 

so i still havent decided one a bag yet. i have 1 body, 3 lens - 50mm, 18-55, and 55-250. no hoods no other accessories. i want to find a hood for the 55-250 and possibly get a flash in the near future as well as well as sell the 18-55. So should i get the slingshot 100 or 200. I dont want a big bag because ill have way to much extra room, and i like the capability of opening up the bag and pulling the camera out on the fly. So help me?

 

if thats too heavy for you, you're gonna be in a world of pain if you ever move to a 1 series body

 

light sphere is too heavy and bulky for me to have attached to the end of a flash plus its heavy enough to toss your flash head around unless you have it locked at 90 or 180 degrees. A 1d is different, its the camera body.

 

so i went to the local camera store and tried out both the 100 and the 200 and the 100 is perfect.

 

Lightsphere is nothing. Try lunging around a Strobe Frame.

 

NYNCTC, always go one size bigger than u think ur gonna need. Trust me it feels up faster than u think.

 

Friends Wedding

 

weddings are always fun. The down side is you legs are gone by the end of the day.

 

I refuse to use such large brackets. If I want to get rid of the side shadows, I bounce off the ceiling/walls with the stofen. But now that I'll be using wireless flash, I'll have lots more options for directional light.

 

there is still room in the 100 for a flash when i get it. plus ill be getting the one that holds a laptop as well in the fall.

 

your still gonna get shadow regardless "unless you use a right flash" its just the RIGHT kind of shadow.

what do you mean im confused.

I dont get shadows btw when I bounce it, unless I want shadows in the image.

I only use the stofen for bounce because it throws a teeny bit of light forward.
and I just use a 430 ex, nothing fancy.

well if you bounce off of ceiling you still get that slight shadow under someones nose.

Oh yea typo i meant to Say if you don't want shadow use a Ring Flash.
