i have a zeikos grip on my d40. i love it, i think Jon has a zeikos on his d90 also.

i personally like it and its a pretty good price

 

yea ive never heard any complains about 3rd party grips (though sometimes you can get a dodgey copy, funky shutter button) but they beat paying double for the retail one

 

Yea I think that's the one I'm gonna go with. Also how do I figure out what lense hood fits my lense? I have the 18-55mm lense

Indeed! I got Tucker for my Wife. Pugs are her favorite. We also got Buddy the Black Pug for her mother and father, as they share a love for Pugs. He's grown on me quite a bit. So much so I'm considering getting another pug!

Those fawns you care for are beautiful examples of the breed.

Tucker doesn't like the flash on the camera, but eventually gives up and sits for me.

Yessir! After a lot of thinking, I came to the conclusion it is all I really need right now.


I got the camera, 24-105, grip, extra battery, and 8gb CF card. **** adds up quick. Plus, almost 10% tax isn't very cool. haha

5DII is a great camera. I'm eager to see the 5DMkIII.

 

That's a lot of money for a camera

 

Wooowwww. A lot of money indeed. But I guess it holds no limitations. For someone like me, it's a waste of money. I probably couldn't even use that camera to it's full potential.

 

I bought it because I wanted an upgrade and it don't see how going to another crop sensor camera was an upgrade. I was pondering the 7D for a while, but for an extra couple hundred, I could have this. The way I see it, this will be my last camera body purchase. I'll just focus on the lenses now.

I thought about waiting for the 5D3, but there are rumors that it's going to be even more expensive than the MK2 because it's "stealing" from the 1DMK4's sales. The MK2 is all I really will need in a camera, with full frame and great ISO capabilities.

 

plus i hear not until late in the year (the mkIII rumor)
