____ chris.. can i come watch you on a shoot one day? i would definitely learn a lot... been shooting so long without a flash i dont know what to do with the 580..
btw i got the 580 and the phottix but the phottix seems a bit weird... like it wont do 2 consecutive flashes.. i would take one shot and it would flash, take another shot for good luck and it wouldnt flash.. any ideas?

if your batteries are low, then you'd need to wait for the flash to recharge a few seconds.
or as mentioned earlier it can be misfires.
I used a 580 and 430 last week for a few hundred portraits with the st e2
and those flashes fired one after another, I was surprised. I took like a 7 shots in succession like a 70 times and it fired every time, not one misfire or ettl miscommunication.
This was indoors however, when I use these outdoors, I have be aware of of which way the sensors are pointing.
