late afternoon sun for the soft lighting. when you shoot is critical. early morning and late afternoon always comes out the best.

I like the clouds and the nice colors. I don't know how I feel about having that house or building hiding in the trees though.
I tried out a new PP tutorial I found online. I really like the effect. Inspired by Linhbergh's work.

the house/chapel was there in the corner on purpose
, it's actually the subject of the photo, the composition is a loose crop, the miniscule chapel is further exaggerated in scale by the composition of the image.
Roja, I like the mood of your last photo. It has a certain analog gritty sense to it. I like it. The only thing IMO that may be thrown off a bit is the uneven vignette on the lower right side of the photo and no vignette on the upper left. unless you wanted it that way.

Roja, send me a link to where the tutorial is please. Linhbergh's stuff is really nice. Love his style but wish he wouldn't do it on ALL of his work. Love the shots from his new Rolleicord

the "subject" is...well...not even really existant...sure...its a landscape but it doesn't really show anything.
the use of negative space and having the random branches in there do not do anything to help....
the exposure is ok, but i dont understand why you're shooting ISO 200 and 1/3200
Well here's what I came up with for the show in San Francisco. I know there's probably plenty wrong with them, but it was only my 2nd time shooting in low light so I'm content with what I was able to come up with.

I'm kinda sad his eye got messed up & I didn't have the rest of the guitar neck in there.

I like it
the "non-existent" subject is a very small part of the over all composition, it's so non-orthodox that it makes it more interesting IMO. Oh well it's a love it or hate it thing I suppose.btw the subject is the chapel on the far bottom right,.
tina, those are very good for a second attempt at low light.
Did you use your 55-250(?) lens for these photos?
the second to last photo you posted imo is the best of the bunch and tells the best story.
exif data?

Look on Flickr (kiss_kiss_kill, I think we're friends) for the exif data, not sure exactly how to just pull it off.
God how I hate you all and this thread.
I just bought another lense of Amazon today. Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 wide angle. Not the fastest, but those fast wide angles ain't cheap. I should have it by next Thursday or so. Yay!
