Yeah the Hind is basically an ugly tank flying through the air. Gonna take at least a missle/rocket to take it out. ha ha
I'm old school tho. I enjoy a good F-16, 14, an even a good A-10. Now THOSE are tanks in the air quite literally. I've seen one that had almost a complete wing taken off and it still flew. Thing has like 3 automatic systems and 2 manual. ha ha

Oh yeah. I've gotten to sit in an F-16, that was armed. I did not want to get out. I asked the pilot if he wanted to trade one for one of our Hawks. A-10 is just pure sex. I've seen one fire. Sooooooo wicked.

The 55-200 was just never enough zoom for me, and at 200mm, it was very soft at f/5.6-11. The 70-300 is supposedly about the same at 300mm (soft til a wider aperture), but at 200mm it's still good. So I figured it's like a better version of the 55-200, but with that extra zoom. Currently I have 18-55mm, 18-135mm (walkaround), 55-200mm, 50mm, and 70-300mm. Eventually I'd like to move on to 18-200mm, 135mm f/2 DC, 50mm f/1.8, 35mm f/1.4, and 14-24mm. But that's a few thousand dollars away, so I'll just stick to my current arsenal for now lol.

The only time the 55-200 was enough for me, was at this past Time Attack event, and that's only because I had a media pass. And even still, the 200mm was only enough at one of the 5 turns.
200mm, needed a little more.

200mm, needed more. Even when they were within the redzone, it still just wasn't enough, and I was sitting in the 12th row, lower level.

200mm. Needed a little more.

135mm. Needed a lot more.

You get the point lol.

It's not always about the focal length but the ability to crop. I didn't have a media pass either.

i can't really speak, because i love my 55-250. it is perfect for that extra distance. i dont have any photos on this computer but i'll find some and upload later. also, uploading some shots of my buddies SI from the other day. Created a new watermark
i dont have any DSLR experience but both of them could use more focus if thats the right term?
the first one looks like you werent really trying to capture the little pinball golf thing and the second one is a little fuzzy in general
