haven't really put it to use but really like it so far. i shoot vertical a lot and this will be so nice no longer having to reach up and over my head looking ridiculous.

and congrats on the D40 purchase. it really is the best purchase for a beginner. great to learn with and holds it's value. if you don't end up getting into photography, you've invested as little as possible into the hobby.

 

You'll love it. Gonna put my grip to the test tomorrow at Import Faceoff.

nice Fab! should have gotten a Canon but the D40 for the price is a great start.

 

yeah the price was pretty damn cheap, idk about nikon nor canon, was one better then the other? or is it all personal preference?

 

Personal preference up until a certain level of Camera. Lenses though, Canon hands down.

 

Nikon > Canon. True story.

do yourself a favor and join a nikon forum and just read. i love my canon forum, wouldnt know what i do with it. also, read the manual! there is sooo much in there to learn that will help you.

 

yeah I heard from lotss of people that reading the manual helps a lot, ill definatly be doing that sid thanx man.
