Anyone in here rocking a D300 with a grip? I want to get one but they're all about 275 and that's kinda steep haha

 

My buddy has a D300 and MB-D10. I've never heard anything but good things about it.

 

I'm looking for tips on this type of picture!
Lemme know what I could change!

 

Are you referring to night shots? A good sturdy tripod, low ISO, and a remote/timer is key.

 

Sturdy Tripod, check.
Timer/ Someone to click the button, check.
Low ISO, non-check.

My ISO was at 800..

I say get the D40 and learn. Build your abilities and when ou feel it is time to upgrade, upgrade. By then you will have the skill and knowledge to know which camera is right for you at that time and you will look back at the time with your entry level as fond memories that really help. Start small and work towards big things.

Although I feel like I've gotten better since I first bought my camera, but I still need to be better.

Hmm I guess I'm just gonna bite the bullet and pick one up. There's something wrong with my SB600 and I need to take it to a shop to see what up with it. It keeps firing when I don't want it to. Kinda like it's in strobe mode but I can't turn it off

 

The batteries on my SB-600 finally died . They lasted me 9 months, with TONS of wasted 1/1 flashes to blind my friends .
