Just ordered a CompuTrekker AW, a Nikon Battery Grip, and two more batteries. Gotta stock up for my trips coming up. Gonna be traveling for almost an entire month.
I'll probably be selling my Lowepro CompuDayPack.

I had it for the D40, but never got around to buying it for the D80. I figured I could make use out of having 3 batteries and the grip for the next month.
yup yup...they moved to a new location so they had a BBQ/re-opening on saturday. It was so nice out too. 70 and sunny, most likely one of the last nice days till April next year.

Okay I lied, I'm not buying the bag. I bought the MB-D80 grip, 2 more batteries, and a Sigma 10-20mm lens. I've been wanting to buy an ultra wide lens, so this should suffice. I've got a pay raise, bonus, field pay, and flight reimbursement coming in the next 1-3 months, so I figured I might as well spend some of it.

I've been seeing nothing but good reviews for the Sigma, so I figured it was worth a shot. I haven't tried anything other than Nikon, but I heard Sigma and Tamron made good lenses.
I just got a grip for my T1i last week, freakin love it. Makes shooting portrait MUCH easier, particularly for quickly framed shots and close-ups/macros. The added battery life is nice reassurance, too.
I really want to get some kind of telephoto lens sometime. I have been looking at the Canon 100-300mm III USM. Looks like it can be had used for ~$200, is a nice small size with good AF. Anyone have experience with it? Other suggestions? I guess the 55-250mm IS is an option too.

I need to get a battery grip, but I see so many different brands idk wats best. the battery grip includes an extra battery? and can that battery be changed out with another one when its dead? lets say the one that the camera comes with?
Why are you switching to the 70-200mm? And if you want to give me a deal on the 55-250, let me know...
Daleny: I have the Opteka battery grip, and it is great quality. Obviously the Nikon would be best, but if you want to save a good $20-$40, Opteka is still solid. The grip is the same material as the body itself (rubberized stuff where your hand goes), and the two batteries it come with have had great life in the two weeks I've had it. The shutter half-press doesn't feel quite as solid as the original shutter button, but it still performs perfectly.

Some need batteries to be inserted in them, some are just massive batteries. I had the Ansmann, which is just a massive battery. I test fit the display model in a store and bought a new one, only to find out it didn't fit, so I brought it back and they gave me the display model (I didn't care, I had a flight to catch). It lasted forever on a full charge. I'd try to find a camera store with one, so you can test fit it though.
rcf: i want the f/4 throughout the range plus the f/4 is supurb in quality to the 55-250. i love my 55-250. it is my racing lens (drift events, autocross) .
next question. want to know if this is a good deal i am giving someone.
$500 total.
Includes - Rebel XS / 18-55 IS / 3 4g and 1 2g SD cards / Case / Mini Tripod / All the software/hardware from Canon.
