DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
Nah never shot with one of those before. I'm sitting here looking at D300 prices and they've fallen significantly since the release of the D300s. The lure of metering on AI-S lenses has me thinking.

Got my 10-20mm yesterday, didn't realize it came in until this morning because they put it on my back porch. Played around with it a little bit, and 10mm @ 9" away is awesome.
As close as I could possibly get. I'm guessing the minimum focal distance is from your eye to the subject, because this lens is rated for 9" minimum distance....and this was about 4" away from the DD cup, in terms of the outer most glass on the lens.

And testing out the sharpness, just went into the warehouse and set it to f/9, didn't bother adjusting anything else. @10mm, not as much distortion as I thought it would have.

Of course, it's way too early to tell how good the lens is, but so far I'm liking it. I'll definitely get some fun out of it on vacation.

Ok so I gotta get a new bag so I can start carrying my camera with me everywhere I go. I just saw Chris Tucker and I'm standing 3ft from him but I don't have anything adequate to take a pic of him with.
I'm so bummed I didn't have it with me. I'm on Ebay looking right now. I need some kind of backpack/camera bag combo.
Until you get a bag I'd probably clean out a desk drawer and keep it in there.

Buy my CompuDayPack
. Easily fits your equipment, a 15" laptop and some misc stuff.
If my new bag comes today/tomorrow, I can ship this bag out to you tomorrow...if it doesn't come in tomorrow or today, I can't have it shipped out until the 30th
.
It would easily fit all of your equipment. Right now I have my D80, 70-300mm, 50mm, 55-200mm, 18-135mm, 10-20mm, and SB-600 flash inside of it, along with cleaning supplies, batteries, headphones, notepad, etc.

i have the Kata Sensitivity V and love it. It's soooo light weight but it literally holds everything i have. And that says a lot. ha ha It can also carry a laptop as big as a macbook and has side pockets for something like an mp3 player or whatever.

as u can tell it holds a lot.
Holds my huge canon 5d, grip,70-200 L, 15mm fisheye, nifty fifty, 24-105 attached to the body, flash, air blower bulb, lens pen, memory cards, all my chargers and cables, and 2 walkie talkies. in the strap pockets it carries small things like cell phones or memory cards. there is a side pocket that is made for an mp3 player and even has a slot for the headphones to come through so u can listen to ur music with ur bag on.
