turns out the flash just needed batteries hahaha
i did get an error 99 though in that mix up so i think i just need to clean the sensors and i'll be fine. it hasnt happened again...

Sanyo Eneloop batteries is what i use for my 420ex. i dont use it often but when i needed it, those li-ion batteries didnt last in the flash. the Sanyo's have been holding up pretty well. very popular in the Canon forums.
Hey guys, I recently picked up a D40 and noticed that there were black specks in the viewfinder.. I cleaned the lens and it was still there so I'm guessing it's the sensor? I researched a bit and heard to get a bulb blower and I was wondering if this one from walmart would work.. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...ct_id=10902026
Damnit
Are there any other places locally I can get something to clean my sensor with then? Or would I have to order online from like Adorama?
EDIT: Or are there other ways to clean the sensor?
It's buggin me haha

if it's just the viewfinder than your sensor shouldn't be dirty. i don't think? i don't have much knowledge of the relation between the viewfinder and sensor but my guess would be a dirty viewfinder with clean pictures is a viewfinder problem not a sensor problem.
bring it to a local camera shop and ask an expert.
