yeah prefer for it to stay as a hobby, all fun.. no pressure, no income that we need to come up.. i would want some pro equipments though

 

i wouldnt mind being paid to shoot the local drifting and auto-xing that i already shoot though

 

i wouldnt mind getting paid either lol... they can pay me if they want and that would be even better haha. but to me its strictly a hobby, not an activity that would need to bring food to the table

 

i feel the same way...just don't want to be taken advantage of ya know. people are starting to ask me to do photoshoots of their cars...people i don't know soooo...

 

I just don't like being told what to shoot lol. If someone wanted to by a print of something that I was shooting anyway, then that's cool. Cars would probably be the only thing I'd shoot for money. I plan on building a rig over the holidays so I just might start.

i dont mind takin pics of peoples cars at all. its why i bought my camera lol. i did a whole rolling shot session this past weekend of 4 cars, it was awesome

 

but did you know these people? I love taking photos for friends but if someone else asked you to do rolling shots for their car would you do it for free?

 

^exactly what happened to me this past summer. I take pics of my car and friend's cars for fun, like Cory's tC or others i have done. But there was times random ___ people asked me and they wouldn't even wanna buy me lunch hahaha

 

yes. i am not in the business of being taken advantage of.

for example, this guy i just met wants me to take photos of his evo. he owns a shop here in charlotte and told me that if i need any work done that i cannot do myself he will help me out (off the books). to me that is a fair trade. my time for his whenever i have an emergency.

 

yeah i do it free for friends.. and i dont even bother with others, maybe unless they want me to shoot something that interest me.. maybe i will make a business card w/ full pro prices on it, and give it to strangers who ask me to take pics.. haha maybe it will scare them away

 

Good find. I'm not quite ready to get started but it's good to know what poles he used and where he got them from.

 

i just got a 50mm 1.8 mk II and i spent all of the Thanksgiving break shooting with it. I love the clarity of the glass and the quality it can produce. Here are some of the shots i took with it over the past few days. Most were taken at 1.8 just for low lighting situations needing a higher shutter speed, others, i wanted some nice bokeh. ;D The of the girls are my little sisters and the other is my cousin. Enjoy

Nice shots. The 50 is an awesome lens, I rarely take mine off. Did you use flash on #6? That's a pretty cool portrait.

 

Thanks Jon. No flash. She was standing inside of a cone shaped structure that was about a 20 feet high made out of pvc piping and surrounding the bottom of the structure were rows of lighting that changed color. The white/blue lit up her face quite nicely. There was also a second cone that rotated around it. It made for a very neat affect but got in the way a little bit.

Awesome. The bag I ordered was delivered to the wrong house and wrong address in my town (USPS gave me a printout of the signature and stuff).
