A bit off topic but.. For how many of you guys is photography just a hobby and how many a job? I'm only 17 so my view might be different but you guys must be rollin in money if you guys have enough to spend on your car AND photography stuff! :?

I'm a college student. Photography is just a hobby for me. I thought about making money off of it but I think that would take away some of the fun.

jon those pics look amazing bro! what lens was used in all those pics? 10-22?

 

I haven't worn Osiris in a couple years until these. I had to grab them, they're so fresh.

 

I like em. I miss my old d3's they were so big and wide though

 

In regards to making money off your photos. I think all of us here can make money off our photos. They all have worth. Every photo you take has worth.
I understand that this is a hobby for all us but that doesnt mean that we can't make a little on the side right? Maybe it is time for some of yall to actually try and get some photos published? I see amazing work on here. Work that is easily magazine quality.
Get your name out...start doing car shoots or model shoots or w/e you like but maybe try to make a small business out of it. It is only an idea. It is something that I want to try and do. Not to make big money, but just a little to justify me doing all of this photography.
I know that there are much better photographers on here besides me, so if I can try and do this...so can you.
