I have a D80 for sale with a 55-200mm VR lens.

 

i would find a used 20D and go from there. Has a lot of good features from Canon, but still leaves room to learn so you can upgrade later on.

 

i feel another canon vs. nikon battle coming on.

no canon vs nikon battle. I cannot comment on Nikon's because I dont own one and have only used the d3 which is way out his price range.

I have owned a Canon XS and now own a 30D. I have used a Canon 20-50D, 5D II and 1D III so I have much more experience with Canon so when I give advice it is going to be Canon biased.

 

I was lookin at the 20d and they are pretty pricey also, but very NICE!

 

i have used a nikon d40 and a canon 30d and personally i like the 30d way more than the d40. but thats just me.

 

I didn't even notice I left my ISO set so high until I checked the exec info on my pictures. This D90 is awesome with higher ISO settings.

Here's my day 5. Its a Gary Fong Flash Diffuser. Surprisingly, it actually does help out the harsh pop up flash.

 

Nothing too creative, but I redid the vinyl behind the gauge cluster to fix some flaws in it.

Yeah that's a great deal. About $120 bucks less than what I paid for my D40 kit.

 

it's about $2,600 less than what I paid for my 5d body and 24-105mm f4 USM IS L kit lens. so yeah great deal ha ha
