I just bought my wife a Nikon D3000. She's always had a point and shoot camera and I wanted to get her into DSLR's. I figured this is a great entry camera. I've never used one and here are a few shots of my step daughter playing with our old camera on a tripod.

I was out that way this morning too... actually, I was all over everywhere today. Theres was an xB like yours with the same yellow fogs, VA tags in Knotts Island this morning. I tried to get a pic, but couldn't get my cam up fast enough

 

haha. somebody is jocking me.

But, anyways, here's my boo today after a bathing.

I never really notice how big the camera is till I use Zach's 30d or my old film Canon 7e. But NOTHING is bigger than my Bronica ETRSI. ha ha

 

I sold my XS today and when handing it off i realized how small it is compared to my 30D with a grip. My 30D with grip is dwarfed by my buddies 5dII with grip... All dwarfed by 1dIV haha.

question??? do you guys use a software for these pics or is it skill and practice???

 

99% of the pics here are edited with software.

 

Yeah Photoshop is pretty much the same as a darkroom for film. You adjust contrast, burn, dodge, and crop like u would in the darkroom.

 

I am just a beast E is awful, hence his need for PS.

 

i try to edit as little as possible.. mainly just converting to jpeg and maybe a little fill light.. or when i turn pictures black n white..
