DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
Just take off the grip when you think you will not need it and it will probably seem more manageable. You have to keep in mind that a rebel series body is like a toy compared to an xxD series body. (weight wise)
yea I'll hang on to it for a while to see if I ever come across needing it. This weekend I might be able to play with it more than just yesterday afternoon in my house. I have yet to upload any pics yet. I need to get a CF card reader. For some reason, I plug it in via USB to my MacMini and it doesn't recognize the 40D? I might need to reformat the card again?
I leave mine on at all times. It's like NYNCTC said, u just have to get used to it. Once u do u'll never take it off. ha ha Twice the battery life, more weight to stabilize the camera, more room for ur hand to rest on, vertical shutter button and focus controls, etc etc. WELL worth the money.
yea and i got it for a good price with an extra battery so it's another reason I might hang on to it. Recommend a good CF card reader? eBay has a ton but don't know about the quality for those cheap things.
SanDisk or Lexar are the best by far. Anything else and I'd worry bout the quality.
Zach bought some brand called Rocketfish or whatever and it is already broke after a few months. I've got a LEXAR that I've had since the 10d was the latest DSLR out there and it still works fine and I carry it with me everywhere my camera goes so it has seen some abuse and it does 13 cards I believe.
This is what I am getting next time I need to buy a card reader.

question for you guys. when your done using your camera and you have a battery grip is it necessary to take it out when your done using it?or is it ok to leave it in, even if you don't use it for long periods of time?
