Im looking to buy a used DSLR this weekend. Not looking 400-600 so I can learn with it, also want to take it underway with me(im coast guard) and dont wan't something too expensive if it falls overboard or falls down a ladder or hits the deck or what not. there's a Canon Xti with 18-55mm Lens for 450 with some filters, couple dslr books, memory sticks, was thinking of picking it up. best buy has Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with Extra 75-300mm Lens for 600+tax. any suggestions?

im going to run down to sears and check out what they have, id rather buy new rather than used. Going to best buy is a 2+hour drive so id have to know what i want to buy before I buy. I saw some HDR pictures and so I have to get into dslr. I need to pick up a new hobby, playing 360 all day is no good lol.
