no freaking clue to be honest with you. just put it in manual mode throw a really slow shutter speed, sit the camera on a nite table/tripod etc. and then just stand in front of it and write out. i put a 10 second timer to be ready
Nice shot. It's for stuff like that I wish I had a graduated neutral density filter for the sky, and then use a longer shutter speed to get detail in the water too. I guess HDR can simulate it, but it's better to use one exposure if possible, IMO.
i went out west last night to get some shots of the sunset. unfortunately the clouds got in the way

yea i really need a filter but i was trying to do long exposures but the clouds were crazy. i had a lot of fun though being out there by myself with no distractions. Being my first time doing anything like that i cant wait to bring back my gf
