LOL, I have a good idea for holiday theme. What are the rules for it though? Anything have to be in it I.E. Cars, ppl, ect?

 

Anything related to the upcoming holidays.

I'm between these two offers what do you guys think?

 

i'd say go with the Canon but I'm a Canon user. I've seen some really good work from the XSI.

 

I am torn, I am not a big fan of the lower D models. D2 user myself, But, I would say Nikon, plus its cheaper LOL.

i would say don't waste your money on the D60 when you can get the D40 for cheaper with same photo results.

 

hey guys I have a question for those that know about the canon g10 and panasonic lx3

Im thinking about picking up a camera that I can take with me everywhere. I have narrowed them down to these two options.

anyone know much about these?

 

out of those 2 i say the panasonic, but i say a canon powershot

 

i use Canon for ALL of my video/photographic equipment. They always produce great products.

 

canon for photo, sony for video.

 

i absolutely loved my powershot IS S5, probably the most DSLR-like P&S out there

 

Idk man. I used to love my Canon G2, although I have also used the Sony vx2k. I wouldn't mind having a Canon GL1 tho. Those things are SEXY!

 

I know a lot of people look down upon 3rd party lenses, but I need a zoom lens I can use indoors and I cant afford a $1k lens

here is a tamron lens that seems to have outstanding reviews all over the internet, and looks like a worthy affordable lens for indoor shooting and at times outperforming the canon counterpart at nearly 1/3 of the price?

I am using a sigma lens on my Nikon and love it. I have only had one problem and that is because it went swimming when I fell into a canal while in Iraq.

It depends on the lens, but a lot of time third party lenses are just as good as a name brand.

 

well I went today to Costco and they had the D60 and XSi on display so I tried both and bought myself an early Xmas gift and went with the Canon XSi. I liked more how the Canon felt!





my first day with DSLR so hope to improve on skills with the new toy! :D
