several settings like shutter speed, AF, metering.. but fast camera and fast autofocus lens plays a big part as well

Nice Shots ACE!

Alas, got any lenses in mind? I LOVE my 24-105 on my FF body.
Well... I was originally planning on getting a 28 /50 /135 but the more and more I think about a 24-70 and remember how freaking sharp and nice the images that came from that lens...I just lean closer and closer to it. BUT I promised myself I'd stick to primes unless it was the 70-200..

I'm having trouble figuring out which wide prime I want: 24mm, 28mm, or 35mm.

I'm sure the 24-105 is awesome, but when I'm not strobing I need fast glass. I also want to start shooting more with a shallow DOF and still have my OCF's.

x2. I think i've seen him in the photo where it was dark in the background and him smoking a cigar. pure skills!
This one?

Depends on what you want to do? Off camera stuff? You should look at MPEX's strobist kits... And if you just want to buy some small strobes, Nikon SB-26's are a good option because they have an optical slave and are relatively inexpensive. There's also another brand, Sunpak 500? or is it sigma? ..Well it's harder to find but they too have optical slaves. I actually think they might be the strobes in the strobist kit @ mpex. Also, you guys should check out the strobist blog. http://blogspot.strobist.com

Alas, i'd go with the 35L for sure! Hands down one of the best all around lenses on the Canon L line up especially on full frame.

I think it's because you're part of the "Nikon Squad"

...just kidding.

I'm definitely considering it..but I feel more at home with the 28mm FL.. I just wish there were better options for it. I might just go for the 35L though..

Here's a fake tilt-shift from the highest elevation point in Istanbul, overlooking Asia, the Bosphorous, and the European side of the city.

That's what it seems like. And that tilt-shift looks like an actual model city or replica toy thing. Pretty sweet.
