Have to share my excitement. My D90 arrived today and I'm amazed at how this camera is just... better than my old D40. I expected the differences to be minimal but it feels so much more legit.

I love that shot Jon. For me though, I wis it was a little bit of a tighter crop on the wheel. It may look stupid, but I feel I cant see the detail in the wheel. Maybe I should put my glasses on.

 

What do you guys think of the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8?

 

Thanks I was trying to leave some of the defining things about the car in the photo. Also it's supposed to be like a glance and you see the BBS instead of a detailed shot of the wheel.

thanks. unfortunately Florida is rather flat so there isnt a way to get a higher perspective without getting buildings in the way so i sat my tripod ontop of my car.
I wanted to get it coming towards me but it was late at night and plane traffic was light

 

took this with my 10-22. cloudy days makes for great soft lighting. used strobes for this too @ low power.

Ive use it before. its not worth it. the zoom range between 11 and 16 is so little. 2.8 on a ultrawide u can live with out. most of the time i leave my apature above 5 on my 10-22 so my dof is wider. Sigma 10-20 f3.5 man! its a good walk around lens!

 

That's what I though about before but from reading on POTN, people like the 11-16 more than the sigma. It's also cheaper, so how much of a difference will 1 mm make?
