took these of my friends car. any tips for future car shoots? still working at figuring out lighting and angles for shots.

Unless it was at f/1.2 or so but even then it just looks fake. I've shot with a MKII and this doesn't look like bokeh but a weak blur tool. Even on a cropped it's not that bad.
You have the 600, 700, 800, or 900. I wouldn't bother with the 400 as it's too limited. As the numbers increase, so do their power (except 600 to 700), features, and price. For general use, the 600 is plenty.
Actually jon is correct. And quality is cause I pulled it from my facebook.
But the shot I literally just kneeled and shot. And it is straight from camera no Photoshop. I believe it was shot at 1.8 with the canon 50mm 1.8. So no sorry no fake blur tool.

new to photography and looking at a T2i. adorama has the body only for $719. and can get the body and kit lens (18-55 f/) for $849. I'm thinking of going with the body only and getting the 50 f/1.8. been reading/viewing posts on here and the kit lens doesn't seem necessary. opinions?
