DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
smugmug is definitely better for selling your photos and has better individual restriction options for things. but it's also more expensive than flickr which i absolutely love for approx $2/month for unlimited space to backup all of my photos in full resolution. can't beat that i don't think.
So I peeked my gift... it's not an SB-600. It's a Vivitar 648 flash. I've never heard of Vivitar so had to do some research. I can bet she bought it from a place called "AccessoryCircut.com". I can bet that she tried to order the SB-600 and they told her it wasn't in stock, so they offered her a Vivitar flash for the same price. Or so I've read online.
Anyone know of these flashes?

I don't have any experience with them, but it was a popular brand back when film SLRs were current from what I've read. Looking at the prices, she paid more than what a SB600 would have cost.
The review's that I've been reading say that these guys talk you into buying a Vivitar flash by offering it for the same price. But that's if she bought it from that place. I'm probably going to ask her about it..
I have three vivitar 285's for ocf but never heard of their pro-line. That AccessoryCircut place sounds like a scam...
Although she will be mad because you peeped, ask her if she bought it from them.

I'll casually bring it up. "Hey you know what you should get me for Christmas? That Nikon speedlight I'm always talking about. But whatever you do... do not buy from AccessoryCircut.com."
I'm a SmugMug Pro user and I love it, really great for selling and hosting images. There are others but for what you get it's fairly inexpensive. Some others are only a host or a store front which ends up being more because you have to use multiple services.
