I had to look that up lol. That's a cool technique if you don't mind stopping down. Also getting the exposure right won't be a big issue since it's digital and I can always retake the shot.
Now ur thinking like a photog!
@Chris, Ive had this set up for a good bit now. That doesn't include my westcott soft box, light stands and beauty dish.
Alright, I'm in an odd situation. I'm saving up for a Canon t2i, but for the time being I have a choice between two cameras. I can either stick with my 30D, or I can use a new Rebel XS. What do you guys think I should go with?
if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Nothing wrong with a 30d at all. Instead of buying a new body, y not get new lenses instead? they are what makes the difference in the first place.

sounds like you already have the 30D? Personally I'd stick with what I know and stay with the 30, but then again i don't know if the XS is superior to the XS (thinking not or there is not much of a difference). take the 30 and get lenses that can fit your future camera and keep saving for the camera that you really, really want--because if you're serious about photography and not just a pure hobby then you'll upgrade from the T2i anyway. just my .02.

I know how to use both of them, cause I've had a lot of time to play around with the XS also. It's just a matter of which one I should take. I'm not very serious about photography, I prefer to keep it as just a hobby.
