DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
Ummm... Third set? Yeah third.
Fab - I usually either hand hold or shoot using my slider or tripod as a makeshift steady cam. And it really help to shoot at the widest angle possible when hand holding. Shake is much less noticable that way. Anything you use as a third point of contact reduces shake.

the picture is cool because of the story it tells but the composition is awesome and the fish eye cant be beat for stuff like this. what also makes it cool is its completely different from anything the rest of us can shoot. doubt any of us will ever be in a air planes hanger snapping pics
well if other people aren't shooting recently... im a shootin' machine lately. all of my typical air force stuff the board is used to. had an early morning mission the other day, still dark out. shot this of the jet next door all empty, off, and cold before we departed. pretty much love shooting wide open in low light with the 35mm.

^ You know what I miss? My Nikon 35mm 1.8G. It totally owned the Canon 50mm 1.8 I have now. To this day the 35mm 1.8 is the best lens I've ever owned for the cost. I'm hoping to pick up the 50mm 1.4 soon. Maybe that will change my point of view on canon lower end lenses. As of now I dislike them.
Well, all the bugs here are still not available and we have had no good lightning storms roll through in the past year (that I've been home for). I shoot, but mostly with my iPhone as I don't have interest in shooting much else. I'd like to take more images of my Wife but she usually hated being my model.
jasper don't bother with the 50mm 1.4 if you don't like the 1.8, i didn't see a difference other than build quality with the 1.8 and 1.4, there wasnt a crazy differenct in bokeh as well, also i felt my copy was a bit soft, reason why i traded it for a canon 85 1.8. just look for a 35mm for your t2i, i like my 35 f2>50 1.8 on my t1i crop sensor.
Canon 50mm 1.4 > Sigma 50mm 1.4, tried a Sigma 30mm 1.4 and it was crap.
The Canon 50mm 1.4 is much better than the 1.8, not just in build quality but overall sharpness, speed, focus. It has seemed to get a little softer, I've had it for about 2 years but it's great. I only see the 50mm 1.8 good for learning and getting used to wide primes, but that's just my thoughts.
50mm 1.2 is next for me.

I've heard the same thing. If I do buy the sigma, I'm buying new for piece of mind. I think Adorama offers a 3 year warranty because of the "sigma lottery". I'm also considering the Canon 30mm F2 because I miss that focal length. Perfect for crop sensor.
Perfect, another thread I can ***** my pictures out on, for reasons I am unsure of lol..

7D+Sigma 30 1.4.
My copy was spot on on my T3, and as far as I can tell with my 7D as well. I played with MA on the 7D, and I think I ended up back at 0.

You guys have me wanting a 7D for this macro adjustment thing. Trying to tell myself that there's no reason to upgrade to a 7D from my T2i yet. Same sensor, arguably higher ISO performance, same video performance and specs, among other similarities. But now I want this MA along with the faster burst rate and 19 AF points. :/
so schools been kicking my butt this semester but today I woke up with determination to pick up my camera and shoot something. still havnt got this strobist stuff down 100% but its a learning process
