uploading a couple more now. it was very hard to shoot there. the stupid lights were so reflective on every car and the place was too small for the amount of cars and people there. really disliked the popped hoods on some cars.
oh well live and learn this is only the second event ive ever been to.

 

Texas Ren Fest season is upon us! The weekend of the 14th and 20th I'll be posting lots from them.

 

so I bit the bullet and ordered a D800 really excited to finally go full frame but now i have to get rid of the few dx lenses I have. any one interested in a 35mm f1.8 af-s
or
18-55mm f3.5-5.6 af-s?

 

That's an expensive bullet to bite. Congrats.

 

got my new baby in today. getting used to it but didnt have much time to fool around with it today
so far i love it here is a sample shot with the 50mm f1.4d shot wide open iso800.

 

Great camera. Still can't get over the resolution. Too much for my blood right now though lol. Gonna finally try and hunt down a D700 in the next few days. Anyone want to buy a D90?

Hell yeah man lol. My D90 served me well, but I doubt it'll see much use from here on out.

^Aren't all the dedicated buttons on the body awesome? That's one thing I can never go without again lol.

 

^ did you pick up those presets or is that just the awesomeness of full frame? Has a very film like feel to it.

Seems like everyone is going full frame lately. All kinds of jealousy right here.

 

It does have a preset on it, but all it did was slightly alter the colors. The vignette/light falloff is present on the original as well as the depth of field. That was shot with my 50mm at f/1.8.
