Jon, that 35-70 would be sick!
I'm about to buy a Guy Fawkes mask on Amazon along with the 17-35 f4. Psyched on both.
Another shot of my brother's Jetta from yesterday:

EDIT: Instant buyers remorse when I bought the 17-35mm so I canceled it. It's hard for me to justify spending $600 on it. Bought a 24mm instead.

my 50mm f1.4d took a dump on me today
the focus goes out when ever it feels like it.....debating to take advantage of the rebates right now and buy a 50mm 1.4g or paying to fix this lens.
So I was out for a drive yesterday, and this beauty of a truck passes me going another direction. Stance was perfect, color was awesome, ect ect. Then low and behold about 10 minutes later I see it again coming towards me. This time, I had room to work with, no traffic behind me, and was able to stop and fire off a few shots through the window.

This, is the results. Man this truck was dead on awesome.

Not too into old American trucks, but I can definitely respect it. Nice color, for sure.
'Tis the season of upgrades and new lenses.
I liked the 85 on DX because its so sharp, but it seemed too narrow at times.
Love it on FX. Much more versatile.
Did you get the 1.8D or 1.8G?

Yeah I never thought I'd think my 50 was too wide, but after going FX it is for some situations. Gonna go for the 85G. It's a better lens over the 85D all around from what I've read.
Loving it. For $200 it's super sharp even wide open. And the fact that its so little is just cool. The STM step motor is kind of weird. There's a slight delay and it just feels funny since its electronic focus. But it doesn't bother me.
