DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
I'll probably be dropping my Pro status. I don't even have a terabyte of photos. Plus I use an ad blocker so I won't see them anyway.
They seem like they're trying to recapture some of the users they lost to 500px. It's such a crappy update too. The basic engine is still there, they just tried to dress it up and failed. Funny how it coincides with Yahoo's purchase of Tumblr. I hope they don't mess that up too.

I'll still be using Flickr, for sure. Uploading through LR3 is so convenient.
That's correct. 1TB straight up. No limit on the number of photos.
I am making the switch to Razzi. I'll leave my flickr account free since it'll act as a image host for many many many threads I've had over the years, but I'll probably set everything to private.
www.razzi.me/stenger if you guy's/gal's are looking for a new host, check Razzi out.

Hmm. Not feelin Razzi's layout anymore than Flickr's. I'll stick with Flickr until it drives me insane. Slowly getting used to it.
Starting to do more post-processing. Most of my photos are either straight from my camera or just cropped/exposure adjusted. Here's some play with colors.

Getting a pretty solid ND filter in the mail later today, so I'll go back out to experiment with that at dawn tomorrow.
Also going to step up my lens game, I think. Should be picking up a 70-200 f/4 VR before I go out of country.
Edit: Just bought the lens. Too excited to wait. Amazon Prime 1 day shipping ftw.

Really? I find the profile page (where images are) very simple and similar to old flickr as you're going through a photostream.
When you enlarge a photo, it goes to "lightroom" mode (black background).
And once you have some contacts, the dashboard is nice.

I just don't like flashy sites for my photo host. I feel like too much curb appeal on the layout, will distract from the content. That was one of the reasons I loved the classic flickr. Easy on the eyes, organized, and of course, I could always find inspiration for future shoots with the very large community.

I guess not. I dunno if this update will draw in more people or push people away.
Got the 70-200 in the mail a bit ago. Shot with it for about 10 minutes. Here's a shot of a heron.

I seen some people posting their stats of popular viewed photos (averaging 100-200 hits a day). After update, they were down to 20-30.
It'll draw in the mobile users, and instagramers, that's about it. Think it's gonna run more off than bring in. I've officially withdrawn uploading to flickr again. I've even gone as far to make all my photos private except to anyone listed as a friend.
