DSLR Owners Unite! (56k? Are you kidding me?)
Well I've owned 3 Scions, and the xb1 is STILL my favorite. There's something about it, that just made it extremely enjoyable.
But to compare the xb2 vs tc1... They are worlds apart. The xB2 is a comfortable ride, with a very spacey interior. Lots of room, you sit up kinda high in it, and you can see very easy in it. At first I didn't think I'd like the shifter location for a 5spd. But it's actually really nice having it up that high.
The suspension is soft, but again, comfortable. The tC was more fun to drive, but to me, it was causing back problems because of my short height, and was one of the reasons I decided to get rid of it. I like the xb's because they are truely unique, and nothing really like them on the road. The one thing they do need badly is lowered. I am on DF210's and it greatly improved the ride, and appearance.
Go test drive one, and you'll either love it, or hate it.

I've test driven the same 2013 xB2 that I have my eye on. It's that new brown color - which I really like. But its $20,000 for some reason and they wont budge on the price. It has a premium sound system or whatever but the sticker only lists that at $800. But if I can get rid of the tC, or when I do, I'll most likely get a 2011-2013 xB. Would love to have one spring-dropped on simple wheels so that I can focus on an actual project car and not my daily.
well if it's listed as New (not used) that's why the price isn't budging. And is it a RS? That would explain the higher price.
Best thing to do is get a list of similar xb's in the area, the price, and then make sure they know that you can get a brand new one, for less than 20K.

My wife has a xb1 and I have a xb2. You're right, there's something about the 1st gens that make them fun to drive. Best way I can think of to describe it is that it has a mini truck feel to it. Not that I don't love my xB, it's just as fun to drive, but I feel fortunate to have the best of both worlds.
