you guys got any secret places for lenses and bodies? im thinking of upgrading to either a XSi or a 40D.. i know the 50D came out but the 40 is still good! i just came back from hong kong and i found the prices pretty good but not deep enough discount to really push me over the edge to buy either a new body or a lens.. btw i found a 14mm f/2.8L for 600USD! but i didnt have the money

I go to Canoga Camera all the time. I'm lucky they're local to me but they also have a website. They have pretty darn good prices.

yeah just search around for the best deal u can find but if u find an insanley good price beware they probably arent in stock thats what sux seems like some photog websites will advertise a ridiculously low price just to get u on their site then magically the one u want for the awesome price is out of stock... happened to me like 3 times then u try to get a raincheck for that price and they dont email u back lol they just refund ur payment and tell u its out of stock

thanks for the store tips everyone! i just went to costco and they were selling the XSi with a 18-55 and 55-200 and some extras for 999.99.. i think thats a reasonable price? but i only want the body so does anyone want to take those lenses and extras?
