i think you should explain it to them even though they might not want to listen..i dont knw how confident they are aboutr your knowledge on cars or if they know if you know what your talking about car people tell me all the time what you see onlnie doesnt mean its true we know that but most is..this Scionlife.com site DIY tech section help me so much on doing my own work which i would of neve rknow what to do...so you need to put your foot down and they i know what im doing and trust me if something foes wrong you learn from it but getting a sti or evo to replace the tc just because you wanna boost isnt gooa solve the issue....my parents were like do what you want its yours but thats only me some parents are stict even if its your own bought car you paid for....thats my two sense cause something doesnt seem right here as rose said

take it from someone who sold a tc to get a sti..dont do it...unless you like wasting your money on the engine...your only 19 and in 3 years your gonna be ____ poor and your trans is gonna blow and you wont be able to afford it anymore...all college kids are poor..my tranny blew out and i had to take out another loan to pay for that...dont be another stupid teenager sti's and evo's require sooo much work and are not reliable at all unless they are bone stock...im actually selling my sti and lookin to buy a s/c tc
