I just recently bought a 2006 xb and I'm trying to do as many mods on my own as I can. I ordered the Apex 8000k hid kit. Well I have a couple questions the base of the bulbs that came with it are smaller than the factory ones so they just go right through the hole when I tried to put them in the headlight. Is there a part that I can buy and put around the bottom of the bulbs to make them fit? Also i stuck the metal prongs directly into the factory harness, my kit didn't come with any directions so I'm not sure if this is the proper place to hook the ballasts up or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm new to all of this and oh Ya by the way I'm a chick lol. Thanks guys

 

HID kits are pretty standard, so it sounds like you ordered the wrong size bulbs. You can order just the bulbs or maybe see if the place you got them from will do an exchange.

The kit should get power from the factory harness, to the ballist to the bulbs. Not much more than making sure the plug is matched up to the factory harness with the + & - matching so the ignitor fires up the bulb.

 

Thanks, I contacted the seller and apparently its the kit for the fog lights, they didn't specify that in the description. All it said was that it fit my 2006 xb. They're supposed to send me the correct set.
